Jones-Harrison was founded by the Woman’s Christian Association (WCA) and began with a land donation from Judge Edwin S. Jones and a financial bequest from Jane T. Granger Harrison. It was a safe haven for the aging poor and provided an opportunity to start anew through employment and life skills.
