Evacuation expenses are always a topic of concern. It’s important to note, that as a general rule, evacuation expenses are usually not covered on most policies. Sometimes, depending upon your company, policy type, policy language, coverages, deductibles, etc. you might have a window for consideration.
Specific to SF’s policy only, reasonable evacuation expenses can be considered for coverage if two criteria are met:
1. Mandatory evacuation for your covered location
2. Covered damage to your dw

HURRICANE/FIRE PREP REMINDER #1:
Take photos of every room, open drawers, cabinets, closets, freezers, refrigerators, bags, etc.
Have an email folder for annual home photos. Email these photos to yourself once per year and save them in your folder. At claim time, your inventory becomes much easier and your proof is readily available.
