I have a doctoral degree in Business Administration (DBA), an MBA, and an M.A. in American History with a minor in Native American Studies & Gender Studies. I retired from the U.S. Army as a finance officer after 26 years of military service, including eight years in the U.S. Navy. I became an unofficial financial advisor through self-education as unit commanders sent their soldiers to my office for help with personal finances and investments, find tax efficiencies/savings to reduce or eliminate taxes, and develop a way forward to finance security.
