At Palmetto Animal Hospital, our technicians are highly trained in a wide range of veterinary services. These technicians are drawing blood for a blood glucose test. The monitor requires just one drop of blood to report a pet’s blood glucose level.

Palmetto Animal Hospital opened in 1981 to best meet the veterinary needs of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, pocket pets, birds, and other small mammals in the Florence, SC community and surrounding area. Operating as a full-service facility, we provide a complete list of comprehensive services from wellness exams, vaccines, spay and neuter, dental cleanings, parasite testing and preventives, blood tests, general surgical procedures, pain management, x-ray and ultrasound, internal medicine, microchip identification & implantation, injury assessments, prescription diets, and canine and feline boarding. We are open seven days a week and look forward to meeting you and your pet!
