Lockman Pottery is the creative endeavor of Barry Lockman, a potter based in the Gaston County town of Dallas, North Carolina. With more than half a century of experience, Lockman has cultivated his passion for pottery, using local materials to craft functional pieces influenced by the natural world around him1. His pots are fired using a combination of #2 diesel oil and wood, with salt glazing to achieve unique finishes.
